Google has moved tab by the poor new girlfriend of America: Yahoo! According to The Wall Street Journal Google president Eric Schmidt would have proposed an alliance to Yahoo for facing Microsoft. Google can not buy Yahoo! given the antitrust laws in force in the United States but it can offer a strategic alliance to Yahoo! The immediate effect of the proposal has been a new rise in the price of Yahoo! shares which may complicate the offer.
At this time, Yahoo! may choose to buy from Microsoft, the help of its top competitor Google, or reach an agreement with other interested companies such as AT & T or Time Warner. Possibly this last option would be the most valued by Google and many netizens. If Bill Gates got to control Yahoo! would give a new mercantilist impulse to the Internet search that would displease many users.
