Google is still the most used search engine in the world with 78.6% of search engine users in April 2012. The percentage has decreased very slightly. Microsoft Bing with less than 5% of users and the Chinese search engine Baidu has been the two search engines increasing its market share.
Yahoo continues in very low hours and, while maintaining the second position in the ranking, dropping to 7.7% of users. In fact the Chinese search engine Baidu is right behind with a 6.7% market share, being the fastest growing search engine in 2012. The other search engines together barely 2.2%.
Google's superiority is even more evident in regard to its use in mobile devices where it has 91% of users compared to 5% of Yahoo and 4% of all the other search engines as a whole.
