Mozilla's Firefox browser has been gradually gaining market share from Microsoft Internet Explorer. If in January 2008, Internet Explorer was the most popular browser used by 90% of Internet users in November 2008 this figure decreased to 67.6%. This decrease of 20% is due to the strength, above, Mozilla Firefox use has increased by 17% up, to go from 17% to 21.5%. The rest of declining market share of Internet Explorer, browsers listed.
With the launch of IE8 or new versions of Internet Explorer, Microsoft hopes to return to increase their market share. The new IE8, due out in summer, has several security enhancements.
