The use of websites by companies in Spain
67% of companies with more than 10 employees in Spain had websites in 2011. It is a figure that is below the EU average reaching 73% according to Eurostat and eEspaña 2012.

Spain is below the EU average when it comes to medium and large companies, but is ahead of other powers such as France and Italy with 63% and 66% respectively. Finland, Sweden and Denmark over 90%, with the most advanced countries. Gone are Germany and the UK with 84% and 83% respectively.
Breaking down the statistics by company size, we find that in Spain, 92.4% of companies with more than 250 workers have website, followed by 50 to 249 employees with 83.6% and 10 to 50 employees with 63.9%. The great weakness is in the smaller companies, from 1 to 9 employees, which reaches only 25.9%, a figure which is really depressing.

The main use of the website is the business presentation and presentation of products or catalogs. The websites of companies with more than 10 employees who have e-commerce falls by 12%, well below the average of 15% of the EU and far from countries like Denmark with 28%.
