The best player and the best web design in Madrid
Sergio Llull, one of the best players in the current Spanish basketball scene, has relied on La Teva Web to design his new website. Through a close collaboration with the star base of Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, we developed a tailored visual proposal, very much in line with the values represented by the player and the sport he practices.
The starting point of the website design for the Menorcan player was the redesign of his logo. This visual update took the form of a logo reminiscent of the shields of sports clubs, but with a modern touch that uses geometry and symmetry. From here, we transferred the new brand image to the web design thanks to the use of several elements.
In the field of typography, the titles are presented with a dynamic source reminiscent of the world of sports. In contrast, for subtitles we decided to use a script style font, with strong ties to the player's logo.
The choice of the main colors used in the portal was marked by Sergio Llull's current team, Real Madrid. For this reason, white, black and different tonalities of blue, linked to the club of the Spanish capital, predominate.
As for visual structure, the contents are arranged in geometric blocks that break the limits of the columns that contain them, providing a touch of dynamism to the design. The images have a strong weight in the design, thanks to the use of photos of the Mahó star.
In terms of content, the web focuses on two main areas: player information and news. For the first one, we prepared a biographical section, which includes the technical sheet, awards and the professional career of Sergio Llull. For the contents linked to the present, we developed sections such as a photo gallery and a blog section. In addition, we linked the main page to the player's Instagram profile, showing the latest publications that he has made in chronological order.
Another point to highlight is the presence of the logos of the different actors with whom the Spanish base works, such as the one of its current team Real MAdrid, the brand that sponsors him or the Spanish national basketball team.
As it could not be otherwise nowadays, the design of the Sergio Llull website is ready to be correctly viewed and used in smartphones and tablets. Both contents from the website and those from Instagram are adapted to any device. In addition, we used specific navigation mechanisms for this type of screens, such as the burger menu or the side sliders.
